above is the somewhat official timeline (established in the jedi quest series) but it's tight as hell and there are a lot of inconsistencies, especially with last of the jedi. speculation and expansion below:
in lotj: the desperate mission, obi-wan states that ferus left the jedi order at the age of 18. however, in jq: dangerous games, ferus is said to be two years older than anakin (the most definite statement about his age in any text) and in jq: the final showdown, when ferus leaves, anakin is stated to be 'almost nineteen', making ferus at the very least twenty, likely twenty-one.
so THAT'S a thing
furthermore in lotj: dark warning ferus says that he and roan lived a quiet life on bellassa for years before the clone wars, which doesn't add up in the least. this book also states that siri took him to ilum when he was thirteen, but he was fourteen or fifteen in the first jq, when she was undercover for a year? so either she took him and then ... left ??? or he she took him on later? but this still doesn't add up?
lotj: dark warning also states that anakin was sixteen when ferus left the jedi, which would make the age difference add up. maybe watson adjusted the timeline to what she thought was better for the lotj story? if you push everything back two years, stuff does make a lot more sense.
lotj: underworld indicates that ferus was picked as a padawan fairly late, at potentially 12 or so
lotj: tangled web states jq: dangerous games took place ten years prior, which actually maybe adds up cause iirc anakin is 14 so ferus 16 so currently 26 but then that's upsetting cause the REST DOESN'T ADD UP THOUGH
lotj: against the empire states ferus was 16 at his last mission to korriban so basically I'm officially giving up on any internal consistency whatsoever
lotj: reckoning states that it's been six months since trever's family died and he turned into a thief, which is important on some level, I'll work with that
rebel force: trapped states that ferus spent 'nearly a decade' living as a civilian
rebel force: uprising states that ferus and anakin are the same age
